Excuse me if I sound nieve for this question, but just wondering if anyone knows.
Where could I buy Garlic Scape?
And also I've been looking at making a key lime pie for donkeys but am hesitant because I am unsure of the difference between key lime juice and ...well...lime juice. Is there a difference? All the recipes I have call for key lime juice specifically (which I would like to use) but I've only ever seen just lime juice or fruit in the shops... never specifically key lime. There might not be a difference but thought I'd ask.
Ta.

I checked this out for you. According to about.com you can make a substitute of half lime half lemon.
Tesco sells garlic salt and garlic powder. Is that what you are looking for.
P.s. I also know where to find a lot of american goodies, so ask me if u need to ;)
oops i misread you. i have not seen garlic scape in the uk, but i have seen it used on UKTV food, so its got to be around here somewhere.
Will try the keylime sub. thanks!
I'm thinking maybe borough market for the garlic scape? I'd due a trip there soon anyways.
And WHERE oh WHERE do you find American goodies? The only place I know of is selfridges, which I love but their prices make me weep.
Selfridges, americansweets.co.uk (probably as expensive as selfridges but more selection) AND
the best: Costco!!!!! They've got loads of stuff (cake mixes, hersheys, chicken of the sea tuna... I love it). You got to buy a membership but its totally worth it.
You should definitely go to borough market, i bet they have it. Never been there yet.
Costco?..Like the American store?! I've lived in the UK for 6 years and didn't know they have Costco here? Damn... oh the love I hold for that place! Just looked at their site though, how would you get a membership if you're not trading?
Also, I've never been to borough market either, though it's been on my wish list for a long time. Have heard dreamy things about the place and have only put it off because I know when I go I want to have no hesitation in spending a LOT of money on a LOT of food. :)
Going to borough market is on my wish list too! I am afraid when i go I'm going to overdose on brownies and stuff though.
You dont have to be a member of anything to get a costco card. They have 2 memberships, trade and a regular one. Anyone can join costco! Just go over with some ID and i think u need a utility bill that shows your address or something (call and check first).
I love going to costco, makes me feel like im in america :D
That is exactly why I haven't been to Borough market. I'm sure I'd double in weight over night.
Ok, I'm going to have to make a trip to Croydon Costco this weekend. For sure!
